I received my B.S. in chemistry with ACS certification from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN in 2004.  I was involved in undergraduate research at the University of Notre Dame, under the direction of S. Alex Kandel.  I studied alkanethiolate SAMs on a Au{111} surface, as well as fullerenes (C₆₀) on a Au{111} surface, using an ambient STM. 

Aside from chemistry, I am a huge college football fan.  I do cheer for the Nittany Lions, but my heart belongs to the Irish.  I also play softball in the summer with many of my group members.  We placed second in the summer of 2006 (picture below) and came out on top this year!
